Beverley is a town in East Riding of Yorkshire, made famous through no less than 1300 years of notable history. Beverley Minster dominates the town and tells of its glorious past and the marketplace in Beverley remains as a living testament to the rich cultural history of this popular Yorkshire market town. With a mere 300 years of history, Beverley racing cannot compete with the Minster on age alone but it certainly attracts the crowds today as it has done over the years for a fun day out and some excellent horseracing besides.
Beverley Racecourse stages flat racing fixtures and has a demanding right handed track which is uphill for much of its one mile and three furlong length. A course which favours horses with real stamina, especially when the going is soft, Beverely hosts some truly thrilling races, the highlight of which is the Hilary Needler Trophy, contested by 2-year old fillies.

Other popular fixtures of the flat race season are the Bullet Sprint Stakes and the Rapid Lad Handicap. Three evening meetings are also held at the course and as well as providing some first class racing these are particularly popular social events of the calendar.
The racecourse is just a short walk from the town centre and forms a part of the many attractions in the town for visitors. Those with some time to spend in East Riding of Yorkshire on holiday can easily incorporate some Beverley racing into their holiday plans and the course is popular with visitors and locals alike. As such Beverley is renowned as a welcoming horseracing venue for those new to racing and offers a wealth of hospitality options to enjoy the racing whether accompanied by some fine dining or as a cheap and cheerful family day out with a picnic.

Tickets for Beverley racing can be purchased in advance or on the day but advance booking is recommended, especially for the most popular racedays and to take advantage of the special deals and packages available. There are three basic ticket options for racegoers and these will determine which areas or enclosures of the course can be accessed. These are the Premier Enclosure, the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure and the Course Enclosure. Each has its own features, character and facilities and all will provide everything required for a memorable day at the races.
|
The Premier Enclosure, as the name suggests, offers the most exclusive raceday experience, with the best views over the course and the most upscale facilities in terms of style and quality. In addition, Premier ticket holders can access all other enclosures and public areas of the course. Fine dining is very much a traditional feature of attending horseracing and this is provided within Attractions Restaurant, in which dining from an a la carte menu in sumptuous surrounds defines a raceday event with all the elegance and style in the time-honoured traditions of horseracing.
The best all-round facility for racegoers is the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure. All the drinks, dining, and betting outlets are available to ensure guests make the most from their day while great Grandstand views and a lively social atmosphere make for what many regard as the true racing experience.

Rapid Lad Bar is situated within the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure and as well as providing opportunities for some refreshments contains big screens on which to watch all the Beverley racing action.
The Course Enclosure provides the most cost-effective way for racegoers to enjoy the racing. Ideal for families, cars can be parked right up next to the fences and guests within the enclosure are very much in the heart of the action. It is also the only enclosure in which visitors can bring their own food and enjoy a picnic while watching the races. The Hurn Bar is on-site for additional drinks and food and there is a children’s adventure playground. There is also entertainment and other attractions laid on in the Course Enclosure during special racedays. Ticketholders can choose to upgrade to the Grandstand or Premier enclosures on the day.

|
Admission to the Premier Enclosure costs £19 per person and to the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure £12 per person. The Course Enclosure costs just £5 per person to get in and £5 per car and with anyone under 18 admitted free to all enclosures at Beverley when accompanied by a fee-paying adult, a day at the races can cost a lot less than many other family days out. Discounts are also available to students and senior citizens on production of the relevant identification.
Beverley provides the ideal setting for groups of people looking to celebrate a special occasion or to stage a corporate event. Discounts are available for group bookings and the course has a range of superb private suites and boxes which are perfect for entertaining clients or enjoying the races from the best vantage points.
|
Suitable to cater for up to 70 guests, private suites are the ultimate way in which to experience horseracing and for larger groups a marquee can be erected in prime course locations.
Typically a hospitality package for a private suite will incorporate complimentary racecards, a selection of dining options and easy access to betting facilities. All catering is supplied by CGC Events and whether for a small and intimate social group at the races or a larger scale wedding or corporate event held at the course, the food on offer will be of the very highest standard.
